Download the latest verion of the plugin at: download. There you will see all the versions of the latest release. If you want to have previous versions then click on Plugingooglemap.There can you select previous releases.
The file with J16_J17 in the name is for Joomla 1.6.x and Joomla 1.7.x. The file with J15 in the name is for Joomla 1.5.x without legacy plugin enabled.
In Joomla 1.7, 1.6 and 1.5 you can upgrade the plugin. The parameters will be saved.
In Joomla 1.6 and 1.7 the upgrade can be done by the standard upgrade feature of Joomla.
The file without J15 or J16 in the name is for Joomla 1.0.x.
The version for Joomla 1.0 will not evolve after version 2.12o. So 2.12o will be the last version for Joomla 1.0. Of course support for Joomla 1.0 is still possible.
To upgrade in Joomla 1.0 you need to open the configuration of the plugin in a seperate window/tab. Then uninstall the plugin in a different window/tab and install the new version. Then compare the old configuration in the seperate tab with then new configuration to make it the same.
Upgrade instructions for upgrading 2.12 to 2.13 in Joomla 1.5
- Install plugin 2.13
- The new 2.13 plugin will take all parameters from the old 2.12 plugin
Check if the Google API Key is copied. If not copy that key from the 2.12 parameters to the 2.13 parameters.
- Then, in the Plugin Manager, enable the new 2.13 plugin (which is of type "system") and disable the old 2.12 plugin (which is of type "content")
(Note: you are enabling/disabling the plugin: if you're doing this in the "Plugin: [Edit]" screen set Enabled to No/Yes on the Details side of the screen, just below the Name,not on the Parameters side.)
- Now the old 2.12 plugin can be uninstalled with the Extension Manager (J15: Backend >Extensions > Install/Uninstall > Plugins)
The upgrade function only works in Joomla 1.5!
