It's possible to show the satellite maptype just like Google Earth. You can zoom, but also skew and will see 3d objects etc and can just add your markers or kml-file!

You can set several layers (version => 2.12n):

• earthborders - Show borders around countries.
• earthbuildings - Show buildings
• earthroads - Show roads
• earthterrain - Show terrain

JavaScript must be enabled in order for you to use Google Maps.
However, it seems JavaScript is either disabled or not supported by your browser.
To view Google Maps, enable JavaScript by changing your browser options, and then try again.

If you don't want to see this maptype button then set the google maps api lower then 2.113 at the configuration of the plugin!
