You can place a Picasa album on a map in Joomla. Updates in your album will show (almost) directly in your map.
Use the link behind the show in google earth link when showing the map in picasaweb.google.com.

It also works with the GeoXML renderer with sidebar.
There are bugs (twice the photo on map and infowindow doesn't show photo).
