Earth lookat and camera position control

Google Announced the deprecation of the Google Earth API in this article on December 12, 2015.

You can now better configure the lookat and camera position for the Earth maptype (when initially shown!). The parameter lookat is added (version => 3.0). This parameter consists of 7 parameters seperate by a , (comma):

  • Latitude
  • Longitude
  • Range - to set zoom
  • Tilt
  • Heading
  • Altitude
  • Flyspeed

The parameter camera is added (version => 3.0). This parameter consists of 7 parameters seperate by a , (comma):

  • Latitude
  • Longitude
  • Tilt
  • Heading
  • Altitude
  • Roll
  • Flyspeed

For example setting the tilt for lookat:
